The Eiffel Tower reopens to the public after a social movement

The Eiffel Tower, closed since Friday because of a social movement of security personnel, reopened to the public Saturday at mid-day, announced the Society for the exploitation of the monument.
“Discussions continued throughout the night between the management of this company and its employees, with a view to a settlement of the conflict.A memorandum of understanding was found and following the holding of a general meeting of their staff, the resumption of the work of the security agents was decided, “announced in a statement the Company operating the Eiffel Tower (Sete).
The tower has reopened to the public at 13:30.
According to the CGT, almost all security personnel, who turn about fifty by rotation on the site, had stopped work to protest the dismissal, which can go as far as dismissal, of three employees of the company Byblos who manages security.
The monument received in 2017 more than six million visitors.
