French President Emmanuel Macron proposed Tuesday to strengthen Europe’s defense and security by creating a “common European intervention force”, a common defense budget and a “common doctrine” to act.

It also calls for the creation of a European Intelligence Academy, a European Anti-Terrorism Office and a common civil protection force against natural disasters, as well as a European Asylum Office and European Border Police.
